If there are huge deviations, then you should first make sure that the insights you received are actual insights from the profile. You can get a first impression by manually checking the commenters, likers,  and followers of the given profile and getting a general idea of that influencer's audience. If this differs a lot from the insights that you received from that influencer, we generally recommend asking influencers to cooperate for screen captures (videos of the mobile screen) that show the profile page and then open the insights. 

Social Media Platforms also provide statistics only for a certain time period (e.g. last 30 days) and the statistics could also be based on the users that engaged or viewed the profile. On the other hand influData analyses the overall followers of that account, which should give you a better overview of the audience.
